I jinxed myself. when I posted this, it was 70% humidity. when we got to racing a few hrs later, 85%.....so. that negated the 300 pound weight reduction I put it thru. yes you read that right. 300# of weight was removed because I thought the nice weather was gonna hold. so I went from a curb close to 4300# down to 3994# just to run times equall to stock gear/full weight.
best I could get was 10.29 despite hooking like a boss and getting constant .6xx R/T's. like I launched on an srt-4, boosted civic, a Camaro ss, a turd of a mustake, a 350z, 3.6 charger, some truck... I was getting off the line like a boss, just had nothing after 1st gear.
oh when the humidity was lower, that weight reduction was very noticeable. bad humidity, heat soaked like a mother....just a bad night in general. cant wait for September to roll around so I can get them 60 deg temps and low humidity. so it turned into "lets smoke the hell out of the tires for the crowd" night...so theres that. yes I got video, yes I have rubber all over the place. I need new tires anyway right? lets roast em
