Why are there 2 part numbers?
Do we need aluminum or steel?
So basically, I guess, I'm asking which one.
The how to read this chart thing says, "Once you have determined the shell material, you need to find the outside diameter (OD) of the desired steel or aluminum shell. Then choose between 2 or 3 rings and the desired weight of the damper." Oh GEEZ!! I think I'm already in over my head!
Then: "From the far right section of the chart, select either a steel or aluminum hub for your desired engine application. To determine the correct damper assembly part number that intersects is the correct damper assembly." WTF?!!

Can you put that in English for me? Thanks, bro!!
Well now lol....

The two part numbers are not for the different materials but actually for the size o the damper. They sell a 6" inch damper and a 7" damper. The 7" damper is for engines turning 7k plus rpms and since you will never see that 7k rpm from the 3.7.

So go with the 6 inch damper. Both kits are steel with an aluminum shell so there is no confusion there. Belt ribs. Just count the ridges on your serpentine belt. That will answer that question. The only other option to worry about is whether or not to get the 25% under drive with the 6inch damper or not lol...
If I remember right, the engine spins clockwise so the crank pulley bolt will loosen the opposite way. Will it be easy with an impact gun.? Yes but it will come off with good ole man power. You will need to rent the tool to pull it off and that id get local. Airram want 150 to rent there's.

It should spin loose lol. But if you mean that the pulley will spin when you try it. You could wedge a pry bar into the stock pulley to hold it
