it came from the link that i posted

But in reference to windshield tint, i have 35%. IMO perfect shade because when it is cloudy out you cannot see in but when its sunny you see right through it, it just gives a haze. It's not overdoing it and it looks great and i took out my 8K HIDs and can drive on the stock lights with no problems.

The badass look of a tinted windshield is just a bonus. I tinted mine to ease my eyes. How bout you do you and I'll do me?

You've hindered your driving vision so badly you are putting on headlights that are going to blind everyone else just so you can see the road. I just don't get it.
Ummm.....50% on the entire windshield is not a bad idea. It's only 50%. Now my other windows are just ridiculous.

The WK's windshield does a poor job at keeping the sun out of your eyes because the glass is not treated all the way across the top. It's only darkened behind the mirror. Where I'm from, the sun sets along the highway in front of you. It's like driving into the sunset. And I don't wear sunglasses.

50% is ok.

Re: Quad bi-xenons, here I come

Is it even legal to tint the windshield?

Nope. But who cares. We don't have car inspections. Cops don't ticket for it because they tint there cars illegally too.

Re: Quad bi-xenons, here I come

I had the top of my windshield tinted with 35% to match the rest of my car, and it drops down towards the edges about 2-4" below the legal line. It does a great job at keeping the sun out and I didn't have to spend $1k on headlights so I could see at night.

Don't get me wrong, I think the retrofitted headlights are a nice touch, but I would do it myself and not spend $1k on it. And I would not do it simply because I couldn't see out of my windshield, that's not really a solution to the problem. But that's just my .02

Re: Quad bi-xenons, here I come

I don't like the strip at the top of the windshield. I just tint the whole thing. I know you all understand me when I talk about the sun at the top of the windshield.

Yea, the sun at the top total sucks! My brother-in-law tinted the windshield of his TransAm with 50%. I drove in it once and have no clue how he sees in that car. Just not for me.

50% is weaksauce. No point in paying money for that. 30% is the absolute minimum that I'd ever run and I'd need a 5% glare strip down half the windshield if I ran 30%. 15% is the best...

Re: Quad bi-xenons, here I come

50% is fine with me. Especially with all the other windows being as dark as they are. 15% on the windshield would be terrible in bad weather. Good luck.
