Re: Quickest way to sell my jeep?

My dad has a M56s now and hes inlove he had a srt8 charger and traded it in for the M. My family has always had an infiniti on the driveway the maintance is not terrable maybe bc of where I live its the largest market for them. Ik oil changes a expensive but my friend works at the local bmw dealer and they own the infiniti dealer next door which means friends and family discount . Im only 19 the only way I can get all this done is if I get a loan and supprisngly this local credit union gives out fist time car buyer loan with no credit check and they gave me a pre approval for like 11 grand. I have 3 to put down the what ever I make on the sale. I put it up on cars.com waiting for them to publish the add. Next stop eBay.

Re: Quickest way to sell my jeep?

Honestly the best way to sell your car are the following steps:

1) Make it the most attractive - Give it a good wax and clean detail on it
2) Put it on craigslist and drive around with a 4sale on it and make sure it's clear
3) Sell it for $500-$1000 less than market value, don't think OBO and strike up the price.

That's the best success I've had with selling my cars

Re: Quickest way to sell my jeep?

ive sold cars for years and everyone thinks their car is worth the biggest number on that list you need to read all the deductions and ad ons ,,,dont even look at retail that is for someone in no hurry AT ALL,,,price it for around 800 more than wholesale,if it books for ten most banks will only loan 80% so 8000 so say 8800 firm and it will be gone,,,by the way i dont sell anymore it is to stressfullistening to people tell me how im screwing them and thier car is worth 110% of book and they want mine for invoce ,,,im not saying to price it for 8800 just 800 more than wholesale,,,also spend 50 dollars and put a 4space color ad in the auto trader ,,its worth it,,,good luck,,,also to the person who told the mustang storie ,,why would a car lot pay ten for that car ,,if it books for ten then they need to get it for around 7 ,,,cause when people come in they think all cars have 2000 of profit in them ,,that way they can sell it for 8 and make a grand,,,if you dont agree then i will sell you baseball cards that are valued at 10 dollars for 10 dollars

Re: Quickest way to sell my jeep?

Selling cars is not just paying to have it plastered everywhere. You sell cars when its spotless. Go fully detail it inside and out, and do everything you can to keep it that clean. Take pictures the day you pick it up from the detail!

Please, for anyone looking for a car on craigslists sake, say all the negatives too! Dont leave out the cracked windshield and bumper. Nothing irritates me more when people think that people will fall in love with their roach if they just see it... I WONT!

A problem with american spending is people go out to buy things and end up with a bad deal only because they wanted THAT car... use that to your advantage, when they pull up and see a new looking jeep they will be MUCH more likely to buy than buing someone elses mcdonalds frys and mud on the carpet.

Beyond dealers and those in the industry of buying and selling cars, there are ALOT of cars out there that havent been vacuumed in a year. Which if your looking for a 500 dollar ford escort, that doesnt matter, but when your taking out a loan or taking a big chunk out of savings that is a HUGE turnoff.

As mentioned list it below MARKET, not KBB or NADA.... look locally at what they are going for, compairing milage, options, maintainence? Nothing wrong with mentioning that your below the cost of ANYTHING else locally. Also your open to legit offers, but realistically you have already prehaggled the price, considering they can go haggle someone else down to your current price or take your beauty home.

Be a straight shooter, with TONS of pictures, a clean car, and a great price and it will sell!

Re: Quickest way to sell my jeep?

The cracked bumper and windsheild are getting fixed monday i told all the people that have called about coming to see the car about that. I also had a guy call me about it from a sign i have on the truck right out side my store the window and bumper didnt bother him he said it wasnt a deal breaker but he low balled me other then that the truck is spotless. In my opinion its cleaner then when i first got the truck I clean the truck all the time.

Best advice I've heard...
Nice pics and nice ad. I'm not criticisizing...just recommending that you go back and correct spelling (rotors, not "roders" and myself, not "my self". Not criticizing...just saying, it's like a resume for your car. You want it perfect.

I'd personally remove the "all highway" statement. That's impossible. Maybe put "mostly".

Lastly, I'd scrub the upholstery and really clean off the mats, and empty the trunk, then take new interior pics. I'd also go to a JY or the dealer and get a new rubber insert for the tray next to the shifter. That's stuff I would notice if I were shopping for a WK right now and saw your listing.

Best of luck with the sale man...hopefully it'll be gone before you even have time to scrub the carpets

very well said ,,a super clean car will sell its worth the money to have it detailed ,,,but as stated before if you go out to look at a car thats worth 10 grand what are you gonna offer ,,i bet its not ten,,,also kelly blue book is a west coast publication yes they have apps for your zip but its based on west coast ,,,any book is based on what dealers can buy them at the auction for ,,why would they put more in urs than they can go to the auction and buy 20 just like it for less its hard to tell of how it all realy works in a short page
