I'm looking at a my gig nav radio on ebay part number p05064737ad type ntg4 rer....any idea if it will fit in my 2010 laredo?
it is a high speed bus radio
i accidently ended up with the nav....put my bid in before I heard back from you guys...question though...seller states it is out of a 2009.....and he also states it is a high speed bus....I thought the 09's were a low speed bus....is there any way to confirm what speed the unit is?
If it came out of an 09 Grand Cherokee then it has to be low-speed bus, because all 2005-10 Grands are low speed. I just checked the part number via eBay search and the other ads all say its low speed. I think you got it for one heck of a deal and I'm sure it will work just fine.
will i need the lock pick for the install or should it just be plug and play? and what about the nav antenne....will I need one of those too? Thanks for all your help thus far guys....mike
You dont have to have the lockpick, but if you want to unlock the ability to enter addresses in the nav, watch movies while in drive and add aftermarket cameras, then it would make sense to get and install while your putting in the radio. If you dont want/need the lockpick just install the radio, be sure to ask the seller if he's including the gps antenna, if not then you need to purchase one, ive seen some on eBay for cheap. Good Luck:thumbsup:
just spoke with the guy selling the nav unit....his dealer told him it was a high speed bus...but he took the part number off the back of the radio...silly dealer....money sent...now i just need an antenna
