I have a 2005 GC Limited 5.7L, and my issue is when driving downt the road when i hit rough roads or areas n the road with several pot holes I can hear something coming from under my jeep rattling or thats loose, I dont know where to really start in looking and I dont want to just start replacing unesessary parts. My buddy riding with my one day said he could feel the vibrations coming from under his feet, he was sitting in the back seat behind the driver. He was saying it feel like it was my exhaust but Ive checked my whole exhaust and no broken connections or clips or anything. Any ideas guys, Thanks in advance.
Take it to a good muffler shop and they will inspect the exhaust and tell you if there is something rubbing for example on mine it was the muffler rubbing against the back somewhere- they added a flange and fixed it. I also installed an intake in which a bolt came loose and the heat barrier was rattling-For that I just zipped tied and secured it so it wouldnt rattle. Also check your heat shields under jeep...
LOL..i have the exact same issue. I mainly hear mine when i pull into an area or drive way that has small incline or decline compare to the surface i'm on. Mine is coming from the drivers backseat area.
