i use mine about 4-5 times per day

Re: Rear Flipper Glass Struts Worn Out?

It's nice to utilize the key-fob button without having to unlock the entire vehicle. Plus it locks by itself. I use it on the fly if I just need to toss something in or grab something real quick. My brother said his 05' raised by itself for a little while after he got it, then wore out.

Re: Rear Flipper Glass Struts Worn Out?

My 05 used to pop open all the way but within the last few years it has stopped. Time to replace them. I have already replaced the hood strut twice and the lift gate twice on the passengers side, for some reason the drivers side has never failed. Factory struts do not seem to last, so the last ones i got from advance auto but i use the VISA code and get 30% discount.

Re: Rear Flipper Glass Struts Worn Out?

Do you guys have to slam yours to get it to close? If not, any idea what I could do to fix it? It releases just fine...

Re: Rear Flipper Glass Struts Worn Out?

I just put it down all the way and give it a firm push and it closes

Re: Rear Flipper Glass Struts Worn Out?

I'll give the "firm push" a try....I feel like I am going to shatter the window everytime I close it
