Red Line gear oil

My rear diff is whining and changed out the fluid but it's still whining. I did a rear diff fluid change with some MT90 Red Line gear oil in my dsm that use to whine and it stopped it. I had a nut come off the gear cluster and busted a hole in the side of a fwd transmission in another dsm and all the fluid came out and drove it another 100 miles before realizing it, and all the gears looked perfect. That sure sold me and have used nothing but this stuff since. But no idea about anyone using it in Jeeps and it's a different weight than the MT90 that I'm use to. Anyone had any experience? I'm a 4.7 with rwd so not sure what all it needs. Says you don't need any friction modifier with it so figure that's a win and it's not as expensive as the Mopar oil I've seen advertised

Thoughts? Appreciate y'alls feedback. Thanks!

Re: Red Line gear oil

Red Line fluid is not very highly rated, and likely won't stop the whining; it is probably bad carrier / pinion bearings. If the sound is from one side, carrier is shot, but need to replace all three while it is apart. Common problem, and am on my third set of bearings already. Cost is about $1000, mostly labor.
