The relay uses your stock headlights as a switch so it turns on when you turn them on, the only difference is that your getting power directly from the battery. So if you have it so that your headlights stay on after you turn off the car they will still stay on.

Re: relay harness question

Thanks tri0829. I might keep the HID kit I just got then, although I prob should have waited to get them. I got them off carid, prob should have got from XenonDepot. My set only came with one relay still might send them back and just order a pair from XenonDepot with 2 relays. Or maybe even go with a pair of PIAA intense white 9006 bulbs, while I think about doing a 08+ OEM projector set. Decisions decisions....

Re: relay harness question

definitely do two realys for each headlight, when i had hids before i only had one relay and the there was short so both headlights would turn off, didnt make for very safe driving. I just bought two from xenondepot i cant wait to put the new oem projectors in...one step closer now

I decided on sending the kit back and to do the oem projector upgrade sometime this summer. The how to thread seemed simple enough.

Re: relay harness question

Will a relay harness I currently have on my lows (bought it from a vendor here) work for my fog HIDs or do the connections not match up?
