Short of getting the factory set, which is better from a general maintainance perspective, the Hayne's or Chilton's manuals? I have a 05 WK Ltd. 4.7L

I have both, liked the Chilton guide a little better. to be honest there wasn't that much of a difference in the sections I have used so far.

i've always bought haynes because they were available at autozone, advance, etc. it looks like they are both $25.

for a long time, there wasn't a haynes/chilton manual. i think i paid around $20 for my online manual for my 2006 but that was 4 years ago. it's a pdf document you save to your computer. somebody on here might know website names or have links. i'm sure there are free ones now too.

I've always been partial to hayne's manauls. I'm just now seeing both hayne's and chilton's manuals more readily available at advance auto, oreilly, and autozone for around $20-25.

I certainly don't mind spending $7 for a copy, but I hate supporting some guy who paid like $10 for a CD and is now selling copyrighted material for a profit. I got most of my FSMs from a guy like that, and ever since then I'm hesitant to let these bootleggers profit on my behalf.

I had to get the factory manual when I rebuilt my 06 WK a couple of years ago. I've got the electonic version. I used it many times. We replaced the frame at the front needed exact specs. Want a copy?
^This is what I'm talking about. Jeepers helping other Jeepers without trying to make a buck. Thanks nomoney!
