Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

I went polished on mine. They are so bright you get the look/shine of chrome but with less maintenance.

Yes...polished. They come clearcoated.

I've only had them mounted for a few days, but have managed a short highway trip and enough local driving to say that I'm very happy with the tires. Wet highway I haven't done yet....but don't expect any issues. They are quiet and smooth.

I went with 255-45 for size....I wanted to keep my overall diameter as close to stock as possible in case I need to ever run my spare, and to avoid any speedo issues.

Here's the difference in shine factor...this is the rep in front of my stock chrome.

Chris, for you, I'd suggest chrome...only because you don't need to worry about road salt eating them and you've got chrome details on your Jeep already. Either would look great, but if you want to match your existing trim, chrome is the way to go. These reps don't give you the reflection like chrome does.

I didn't try...my concern was diameter being the same...not so much the width, since I planned on keeping the OEM spare. I have width measurements on the reps though, if you want to check them against the spare tire well...

Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

Ok, I Know this is and old thread, but it has a good question. And after 2 hours of searching threads I still don't have a good answer.

What is the exact weight of the SRT replica rims? Especially for the 20x9. I have found threads indicating that the 20x10 weighs 34lbs, but I'm not sure if that is for the OEM or the replica wheel? And no mention of the 20x9.

THanks

Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

I made a post on here a few months ago with all the weights. I will try to find it. The reps were lighter than the forged wheels

Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

if milous has the correct srt wheel weights on his site.

stock srt front - 36.2 LBS
FR 20x9 - 35.9

stock srt rear - 37.6 LBS
FR 20x10 - 36.7 LBS

i have a freight scale in my garage and some extra FR wheels so i used a cardboard box to balance the wheels and then tared the scale and then measured each wheel.

Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

So you weighed the FR wheels yourself. That's handy. The only way the stock wheels are heavier is if the replica wheels are an exact mold of the OEM wheels. That is, the cast wheels are less dense than the forged wheels, but exactly the same proportions with no extra metal reinforcement added. Why do you call them FR?

Re: Reproduction SRT Wheels

FR=Factory Reproduction. It hit me in the middle of the night. Sometimes I miss the obvious...

What does FR charge for shipping, roughly? They don't use a shopping cart style shopping.

Thanks
