Rim advice

My friend is sellin his 22" rims for a great price. Only prob is they dont fit my cherokee. The threads in my jeep are a little farther apart then his. They do make an adapter and i was wondering if anyone Would buy the adapter if they were me. Anyone know if the adapter is safe?

Re: Rim advice

I have to agree with Scott, far too many options on the market to mess with used wheels + adapters.

I know you said he is selling them for a good price, but don't forget you're going to spend $100-200 or so on adapters, and they are going to stick your wheels out an additional 1.25-1.5" or so. 22's would look stupid sticking out beyond your fender... just sayin.

Re: Rim advice

yeah...you have to consider other things as well...like th offset. I almost guarantee the offset isnt high enough....it must be +30 and up or theyll be ghetto looking. I have $1400 of wide body flares setting in my storage because there is no wheel that I want to add that has the correct offset, and that i like...and is below $8K. So I know the feeling...but there are wheels out there if you dont have any special considerations like me.

Re: Rim advice

^^ I knew you ended up with those...I was wondering a couple weeks ago why i haven't seen them on, now I know!

X3 on the adapter thing...unless you are getting $8k in rims for $1k and the offset is right with spacers...don't do it

Re: Rim advice

yea dude, don't bother

you can find plenty of 22" rims that have same exact bolt pattern as your jeep (5x120mm)

you may or may not need spacers but that is a much easier prob to deal with then messing with adapter
