Roof Rack lights?

I have a 05 WK with the ROLA roof rack and want to get lights all around (pref. 1 on the rear 1 on each side and 2 up front). Anyone have any suggestions for brand or type? Anyone have any pics of their WK with lights up top? Thanks, Justin.

Re: Roof Rack lights?

FWIW - I had a Wrangler some years back and got a $125 ticket for not having a 'pilot light' for my roof-mounted lights. Gotta love Pennsyltucky. Be sure to check you local laws, so ya don't end up donating to some fat senator's mistress fund.

From http://www.pacode.com/secure/data/067/chapter175/s175.66.html ...

"(9) In accordance with 75 Pa.C.S. 4303(f) (relating to general lighting requirements), roof or roll bar mounted off-road lights may be installed if they are not used on a highway or trafficway and are covered with an opaque covering at all times while operating on the highway or trafficway. Vehicles equipped with roof or roll bar mounted off-road lights shall have a switch that indicates to the driver, through the use of a pilot light, that the lights are on when so switched."

Re: Roof Rack lights?

PA has some extremely arcane and ridiculous motor vehicle laws.

Re: Roof Rack lights?

Yea so does VA. I got a ticket last year for my rear passenger window tint! WTF. I was not really trying to argue with the cop for certain reasons, but still sucked. I am trying to figure out a way to get lights that will fold into the roof rack itself so they kinda hide themselves. But yea im def going to check local laws!
