Rubber opinion

What's up all - "Merry New Year"

I'm in the market for some new tires and wanted to get some feedback. I"m throwing on an OME HD lift shortly and want to get some 265/70/17's. I'm considering:

*BFG AT KO's
*Nitto Terra Grapplers
*Nitto Trail Grapplers

I've had BFG's in the past and have had great luck! I've also been reading that ppl are liking the Nitto's. I dont much care about noise, but wanted to get some opinions on the wear and experience of BFG's vs Nitto's and Nitto's vs each other: not knowing too much of a difference between the Terra's and Trail's. Thanks!

Re: Rubber opinion

I also had the BFG's and a good friend of mine has the terra grapplers. IMHO both are VERY good aggressive AT tires. Both wear like iron and have minimal road noise for an aggressive tire. Since I've already had the bfg's I'm buying Nitto's next time but you can't go wrong with either tire.

Re: Rubber opinion

I've never run the Trails before. The BFG AT KO's drive horrible on road and have loud road noise, but does well off road and with tread wear. The Terra Grapler is a good all around tire. Good tread wear, good off-road, good on road, nice ride, low noise, etc.

Re: Rubber opinion

I know they're not on your list, but seriously consider Hankook Dynapro ATM RF10's. I just got back from a snowmobiling trip to Wyoming. 1900 miles round trip, very good road manners. Heavy snow going up the mountain and never once broke traction. They have received great reviews and I picked them up for a reasonable price from Discount Tires.
