Sat Nav having 'Autodetecting GPS receiver...' issue

Hi People,
Just got a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and the Sat Nav does not work. The system installed is U Connect Media Centre 431 (RB2). I assume it's this system because that's what the 'Operating Instructions' document says.

Issue:
1. After selecting the GPS option to enter the GPS, I only see the following message on the screen:
'Autodetecting GPS receiver...'

When I also click on the GPS Information button, it takes me to a screen that says:

'Available Satellites: 0'

The GPS does not pick up my location. Does anyone know anything about this?

Appreciate any help. New to this Jeep World.

Cheers

You have posted in the wrong section. You have a WK2 (2011 onwards), so try this section - Audio/Visual/Navigation - Jeep Garage - Jeep Forum

Have a read of this thread too before you post it again, in case you can get answers there, or simply ask in that thread, which is in the Export section frequented by Aussies. - Gps signal
