Re: Selling

Ouch, yeah that is crazy! Do you have a Credit Union? Mine will finance something like that for up to 60 months, but it would be ~8.25%, ouch...the only thing is it has to be within the high blue book and tax/license. KBB is kind of crap for specialty cars and one of the reasons I had to get a personal loan on my vr-4, since they just look at is as a galant and not one of 3000 cars imported here

Interesting about the larger axles and something to keep in mind. I'm not familiar with the suspension set-up yet, but it's a shame they couldn't use something that could also help limit it (bet the aftermarket does, but more band-aid; I mean like the design)

I would looooove an '09+, but couldn't bring myself to spend $60k+ on a car. I miss driving a performance car and stick so bad and hope the cts-v (06) will keep me happy. I was pretty content with the GTO other than it being too small at times [I have 3 kids and they penalized us in the states with putting the gas tank in the trunk]

PS - do you know why they used 6-lug bolt pattern on the wheels? was it because of the "run flat" tires? Trying to figure that one out and never seen such a thing, other than on a truck/suv. I mean, the thing isn't *that* heavy.

Re: Selling

Yea im not sure on the 6 lug thing. It really limited the number of aftermarket wheel choices. Im sure you've notice while looking online how few have aftermarket wheels. There was at least one guy who swapped out the spindles/hubs to those from a C5 Vette and went to a 5 lug setup, but i just never thought it was really worth that much trouble and cost, plus add the cost of new wheels.... The stockers were just fine for me at that point!

Yea i love the 09 V, but you're right about the $$$. I just need to be patient and wait until they come down in price, but it sure is hard. I also miss having a sports car and a manual tranny. I did almost every mod i could for that V and was just barely keeping up with stock 09s. first i did the typical stuff, short shifter, exhaust etc.. Then came the Magnuson Supercharger for a while, then i sold that and did headers and camshaft, then i added the lightweight flywheel (a must in my opinion!), then the axles and then a 100dry shot of n2o. Then i took it all apart and sold it! lol

Re: Selling

Wow, where are you guys seeing these prices for used Jeeps?? I'm in the market and have been looking 2 months for an 07+ with leather, nav, 30-40k miles and I can't seem to find one for under 24k. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places.

Yeah, I would say so. I just did a very basic search on autotrader.com for a 2007+ Grand Cherokee for $20K or less. That search yielded 4000 results. I'm pretty sure you could find a Jeep to suit your needs in that bunch.

Re: Selling

I live in the Kansas City area. I had just been searching the dealerships within 500 miles or so... I guess I'll have to go outside this area and expand beyond dealerships. Thanks for the reality check.
