Yeah, I have a good idea of the value of both respective vehicles, but I have no idea the true selling dollar amounts and time it's taking these days. Naturally, a lot depends on the vehicle in question, but from what I understand, Grand Cherokees move relatively quickly under normal circumstances. However, it is really hard to gauge only knowing dealers' sales, as private party makes it more difficult 'cause people generally do not have that sort of cash and right now, a 2005 is considered 'used used' as far as financing rates go (for instance, a 2006 you can get 6% for 72 months, but a 2005 is 8% and only 60 months); it's right at the break point.
I don't want to get in a situation of having two car payments and having to give the jeep away...I've only gotten one trade in amount from carmax (yuck that place) and it was insulting...not sure how the other dealers are. I know I got bleeped on my GTO trading it in, but that was only cause it was getting up there in miles and needed obvious things, such as tires.
Problem (once again) with what I want is they are semi-hard to find and most of them are private party...so, trying to get some research done first. I am almost done with the pre approval part with my credit union though, so that is going to dicate a lot.
As for pics, here is the only one I have online right now (not very good):
