Re: Serpentine Belt

Honestly, I am really into brands of serpentine belts because what matters to me is the quality. Right now, I am using Dayco Serpentine Belt and so far, it is doing well. I am now extra careful with my car's serpentine belt because It has been repaired/replaced for so many times now considering that my car is just 4 years old. It will still depend on you on what brand will you choose.

Re: Serpentine Belt

I went with the ACDELCO one from rockauto. Jsut changed it 2 weeks ago. the OEM one started showing signs at 71k that it needed to be replace. It was a 3 min job on the 3.7WK

Re: Serpentine Belt

What signs did it show? IIRC, on the newer chrysler rigs they are a 100k mile service interval. Cracking on the ribs is really the ONLY reason they need to be replaced. They can look old, and the back can turn brown, and look old, but that doesnt mean it requires replacement.

I also get an employee discount, but I have no issues with the mopar belt.

Re: Serpentine Belt

Mine had a few cracks in it that ran length wise, and it was getnig louder when it ran. I'm sure it would have held up till 100K but now its nice and quiet :-)
