Service 4WD

I recently bought a use 2006 Grand Cherokee 5.7 HEMI Quadra-Drive II with 110,000 miles. The Service 4WD light is on and I have pulled a few codes. U140E Implausible Vehicle Configuration, C2100 Battery Voltage Low, and C2202 Original VIN mismatch.

I have done some internet searching and found some info on this “Service 4WD”, what I don’t know is if my Jeep has ever had the N23 Recall update, or the P73 so called fix to the N23...How can you find out if the previous owner had any recalls done?

Also I found a video on doing the #25 fuse pull fix. I have tried this 4 times trying it several different ways but it has no effect, I still have the same Service 4WD indicator on and it will not go into 4Low.
I was starting to think that I had a bad wheel sensor, but I think that would pull up when checking the codes…?
I’m starting to think I might need to find a new FDCM that has never had the update? If so does anyone know how to find one?
Or should I have a dealer do all update/recalls, if they have not been done yet?
Thanks in advance for any advice!

You can enter your VIN here and it will show what recalls are pending for your vehicle: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls.html

Re: Service 4WD

Thanks Stephen! The website shows that all of the recalls have been completed on my ride... N23 in May 2013 and P73 in May 2015.

Any suggestions on what to do?
Should I look to replace the FDCM that has never had the update/recalls?
Has anyone needed to do the P73 reset more than once?

Have you checked to make sure that the battery is okay and is actually supplying the correct voltage? Usually when you have a ton of codes like that, it's either an issue with the ECU, or with the ECU not having the proper voltage to run it.

Re: Service 4WD

Yes, I had the battery and alternator tested at Advanced Auto when I had them check the codes. Battery reads 12.5V (sitting), 14.5V (@ idle / no load) and stays at 14.5V (with load)...I assume those reading are good from what I know??

Maybe I need to figure out how to test the voltage going to the ECU?

Thanks for your suggestion!
Ill keep searching...

Re: Service 4WD

Check your grounds. Usually when they check your battery and charging rate at these places, it's done directly at the battery.
