I have an 05 GC Limited Hemi and just got this message tonight. Any ideas what the he!! this could be?

Common on the 05's. Go see your dealer, there is a TSB out, needs a re-flash to go away once and for all.

I was told that there is a programming error in a "timing" in the 4wd system , the same message kept popping up on my 06 right after I got it. The dealer did the TSB (re-flashed it) and i haven't seen it since. and they do it for FREE!

I may have to go to the dealer and get mine flashed. This pops up ALL the time for me and its pretty annoying when I'm driving @ interstate speeds and it BINGS really loud...

my 06 used to do it alot and i had the dealer flash the computer. went away for probably 3 years and is now coming back on intermittently. it will come on if i drive too fast over railroad tracks or if i'm turning into a drive that has a steeper grade than the road. it is annoying. it's back off everytime i restart the jeep though.

From the 2005 WK service manual;

C1417–FRONT DIFFERENTIAL CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW

The FDCM detects the Front Differential Solenoid Control is shorted low.

Possible Causes:

- FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SOLENOID
- (T306) FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO GROUND
- (T306) FRONT DIFFERENTIAL SOLENOID CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN
- (T301) SWITCHED BATTERY SOLENIOD SUPPLY OPEN/SHORTED TO GROUND
- FDCM failure

I had that problem for awhile they said it was a sensor or something. I havnt had it since. Now whenever I hit a pothole my airbag light goes on. My jeep dash lights up like a jet with warning light errors.

C1417 is "Front Differential Control Circuit Low." it could be front control module, differential solenoid, drive control nodule, or maybe a messed up wire.

I drove threw puddles really fast one time for like 30 mins straight and I got this light and I think the same code, after about 2 days when everything dryed up it went away on its own. It was a wheel speed sensor messing up, did they check that>?
