Re: shipping vehicle

I was getting at the fact that I would only ship a car if it was a last resort. However I'm frugal so I'm always trying to find the cheapest way to do things.

Hell pay for my plane ticket to NY, I'll drive it to you, then pay for my ticket back home haha

In my friend's case, he's got a wrx with thousands of dollars put into it and it has close to 100,000 miles. Money isn't a huge factor for him so instead of putting more miles on it and spending 36 hours driving, he would rather pay a little extra. It makes sense in many cases.

Re: shipping vehicle

I'd think time was the biggest factor for most... not having to lose a weekend or take time off of work probably is worth $600 in itself.

Re: shipping vehicle

I did not drive because it needed a timing belt change and some maintenance.

Re: shipping vehicle

Little off topic. I shipped a 21FT Bassboat from Mo. to Massachusetts for the sum of $1000. My time, wear on car,gas prices, motels, meals, etc was far in excess of the price. Just make that they are DOT registered and have proper insurance. I would do it again in a heartbeat, JMHO though.
