Did my first oil change on my car yesterday. Switched to synthetic at 84K. So far, so good. However, when replacing the filter I noticed that there is a hole beneath the connector spout as shown in the picture. My apologies if I'm not using the correct terms, as I'm just beginning to get an understanding of my Jeep. Any risks here?
hmmmm...Ive never paid attention to mine. Ill look next time. Maybe someone will chime in

The hole below the spout is so oddly shapen that I figured something wasn't right. I guess the hole was a regular shape at one point, and has expanded to what it is now. As long as a hole is supposed to be there, I guess I'm OK with it.
