Re: Skid plate for transfer case

The gas tank skid is strapped on the tank I think, I should be under mine this afternoon and I will check. The transfer skid sits on the front of the gas tank skid with two studs/nuts, and two bolts in the tranny cross member. Front skid just bolts to the engine cradle.

I just put both of mine back on last night for the winter.

Not true.. there are two off-road packages.. 1 and 2. The first doesn't come with tow hooks and comes with a plastic front plate and the second does come with hooks and the appropriate metal plates underneath. I have o/r package one and have only added hooks to date.

Re: Skid plate for transfer case

Sorry I should have mentioned that I have QDII and no skid plates.. Just the plastic skid for the front and everything else is exposed.. My Jeep didn't come with recovery hooks but I added them later..

QDII and off road package two are both standard with the Overland. The only option for the overland is a DVD player.. I think.

Re: Skid plate for transfer case

Any aftermarket skid plates that cover just the transfercase without the use of the fuel tank skid plate?

Bump.

Does anyone have any idea if this exist? OR does anyone know a good way of mounting the t-case skid plate (#82208712) assuming you do not have the heavy duty steel fuel tank skid (#82208714).

Saguaro4xcomponents does offer a "mounting bracket" for the t-case skid (Link) which is compatible with the the light weight steel guard that comes standard on most every 4x4 WK. However, it is considerably overpriced at $153 + shipping.
