Spare tire size

I may be getting new tires in the near future and was looking at getting the Firestone Destination A/T tire. I was wondering if since this tire doesn't come in the stock size and the next best thing is 245/70/R17, will it fit in the spare tire location?

Re: Spare tire size

I failed to mention that I had to trim and grind the ends of the studs of the OEM hitch. Probably not necessary for a 245/70/17 though.

After you modded the hitch have you pulled anything behind the Jeep since? Do you think it compromised the strength of the hitch at all? Did you use a full tread bfg a/t or a half-tread? I'm gonna do this tomorrow because I wanna get a 265/70/17 under there. I plan on keeping it aired way down for fitment and having a 12v compressor on hand should I need to throw the spare on.
