Infinity reference series were practically made for your criteria.

What size speakers do you have in your doors? Do you feel any of the mid-range is lost by doing this? I've considered it but not sure if I would notice a huge lost in mid-range.

Also, has anyone on here fabricated their doors? I was thinking of possible giving this a shot later in the year, depending on what an inside door panel would cost at the junk yard. It would be nice to get another 6.5" speaker in the door, or 2 more....

I have the factory Boston Speaker upgrade. When these blow I was thinking of getting this kicker upgrade. Do you know if I can run them off of the stock amp that came with the Boston set up?

Cool, I was wondering if the Kicker amp was louder. The watt output looked about the same as the stock Boston unit. I will have to get my hands on one while they are still low priced. Thanks for the info. I picked up the dual 10" Kicker sub and amp box for $340 (what a steal) and am going to install that this weekend.

You get most of your mids from the 6x9's and 6.5's. The tweeters add a unique touch. You can get a lot of voice from the tweeters. They make sounds more realistic. Research them and find out what they are suppose to do.

Remember, soft dome for less harsh highs and hard dome for very high. Sounds better than the 3.5's. They are a waste. Look at the Pioneer tweeters. They make soft and hard dome tweeters.

Sounds good, I'll look into some tweeters. I only ask because I know that that the 3.5" speaker, while small, does put out some mid-range sound, hence when you get a 3 way set of speakers it comes with a 6.5", 3", and tweeter (or something like that). Just wanted to see if you noticed any loss of sound, thanks.
