Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

the bushings wont fit in the wk brackets, i ordered them around christmas and it said nothing about needing new brackets, just for the rear, but i got them and coudnt get them to fit so i used my old bushings.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

I bought SRT backets and bushings for the rear which fit fine with the SRT bar; so some folks say that the front SRT bushings from J4J do not fit in stock brackets any longer, and some say they do fit. Confusing. I'll contact them for info.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

there was a design change in the bushings and brackets for 2010. If you order bushings and its not ols stock...it will be the new design bushing and you will need the new style bracket

hmmmm...just looked and I do not see any front brackets listed for sale on J4J for the SRT front bar, just bushings, and the front bar.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

Thanks, but the questions is still unswered; 2 poeple responded saying they recently bought the SRT front bar and front bushings from J4J and the bushings did not fit in the stock brackets, so they re used the old bushings. I do not want to use my old bushings with 50k on them as new ones will be tighter, so do I buy new stock WK bushings, or do the front SRT bushings fit in the old stock bracket ?

Hemi WK is just really nice
Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

If the diameter of the SRT bar is different from the regular WK bar the stock bushings will NOT work. I would just call Peter @ J4J to make sure you get what you need.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

Yes but the bar is not even a 1/16" larger. (I measured)

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

you can shout all you want, but the front bushings have changed and need new brackets, idc what J4j says currently because when i ordered it said nothing about them being different, your best bet would be to contact them via phone and report back to us so we can settle this, and help some of us out. As for the diameter, i dont think its much different in size because the bushing fit fine.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

I called J4J and was put on hold too long; sent email asking specific ?'s about this. At only 1/16th larger bar, the stock bushings should fit then, as the big diference is that the bar is solid instead of hollow.

Re: SRT front Sway bar bushings

The stock bushings will work. I've used stock bushings with an ADDCO bar, which is even larger than the SRT8 bar. Were the optimal? No, they were pretty squished out, but worked fine--much better than the flimsy ADDCO bushings.
