Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

Front Support Bolts ( Requires 4 ) ( Item # 06507668AA or AA1 ) this part is $5 each from the dealer. i was able to reuse my current skid plate screws and i went to ace hardware and got the other bolts, washers and nuts for $2 total. saved $18 on the conversion this way

Good thread! I read through the entire thing, as i was about to buy a cheaper jeep and do this conversion before i decided and pulled the trigger on the Srt.

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

So im finally putting an SRT bumper on my jeep and i know there are some parts that i need in order to get it right, but i've been searching for the bumper bracket and i'm not sure what its supposed to look like for the srt. Does anyone have a link of what it looks like or a place where they bought it besides jfj?

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

i have had an srt front bumper on my WK for 3 months or so now and i did not use the srt bumper bracket. i installed the lower support bars and determined that the bumper was very sturdy with just those installed. it has been fine and i have well over 5k miles since i installed the bumper.

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

this is the part number for the supports Item # 5030620AA

you also need the bolts to install it, you need two bolts to atttach to the bumper and two to attach to the vehicle. if you currently have a skid plate (plastic or metal) then you already have two of the bolts. i bought the other two bolts, washers and nuts from ace hardware for like $1.25 total instead of the $10 the dealer wanted for them. every little bit helps LOL

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

I read most of this prob about 10 pages or so. 3 questions, 1 how bad does it look with just a front srt bumper and stock sides/rear? 2 can you use the rear bumper and use the exhaust spot for the tow hitch (pics?) and 3 ...wtf is the difference in the srt/stock roof rails? Lower aero drag?

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

srt bumper only

yes...you can use the rear bumper with an SRt hitch

the srt roof rails are just a flat cover on each side

Re: SRT8 Jeep conversion parts

Alright, The front bumper doesnt look too bad but I dont think I will take the dive just yet. I do have a bead on a mint cover for under 150 but I just dont think its worth the effort. Same with the rear bumper. Looks better then stock but I dont think it will be worth it just for the "look"
