SRT8 Rep Decisions

I want everyones input. I'm looking to buy the SRT8 Replicas and I am stuck between the colors that are offered. For a light khaki metallic clearcoat jeep grand cherokee what would you guys buy if you were in my shoes? Keep in mind that these will be kept on in the winter so I dont necessarily want to go with chrome because I live at college and park outside. Thanks!

Re: SRT8 Rep Decisions

Really depends on the look you're after. I have a Dark Khaki Overland that has some satin side and tailgate pieces, and a chrome grill and lower SRT grill piece. When I get mine, they'll be chrome. To each his/her own though. Do it the way you want. Besides a little individualism never hurt anyone.

Re: SRT8 Rep Decisions

Paint your Jeep another color!! j/k

I am assuming you purchasing from Factory Reproductions - verify that they do sell all the color/ finish options. When I purchased my Viper reps from them, they had listed on their website black chrome as an option, but when we called them they said that finish was not available for that particular wheel.

Re: SRT8 Rep Decisions

gloss black! chrome is socially unacceptable lol i know you didnt mention polished, but that would be a pain in the ass to maintain in the winter. so gloss black is the only choice lol

Re: SRT8 Rep Decisions

Hey now I like the color of my vehicle I've had black vehicles before and when you live at college with no garage its EXTREMELY hard to keep it clean. Khaki hides dirt very well I take it not many people like the satin black version of the SRT8 Reps? I personally think they would look nice with the black plastic molding on the rocker panels and front valance. Here is a picture of my ride if anyone is talented at photoshop I would love to see a picture of my vehicle with satin black srt8 reps

Re: SRT8 Rep Decisions

My advice; you are in college, so save your money for making sure all mainteneance is done, replacing all worn parts first and foremost. Big wheels are all show, just cost a lot, and there is no functional beneift. The ride will be worse on the street and your Jepp will be useless off road. Accelleration will be much slower with the added rotational weight too along with worse mpg. Shocks, springs and brakes will also wear out quicker, as the combined added unsprung weight of those wheels and tires is 50 lbs or more over stock. The SRT is the only one that optioned big wheels, since it has the power and the stiff springs and shocks to support huge heavy wheels.
