As far as the bumper goes, I love my srt8 bumper with the exception of having to park 3 feet from the parking curb and and bottoming out on speed bumps/pot holes if you're not looking out for them not to mention the snow here in Detroit. Hence the reason why I take my bumper off in the winter. So with that said, an SRT8 would be nice if I had the money but a 57 will suffice, for now.
What part of the D do you stay on. With new members being in MI, maybe we can set up a meet that has more than 3 people attending

I'm 2 hours north of you but I travel to downtown Detroit often.

Re: srt8 vs 5.7l limited hemi

hey everyone thank's for all the replys.
(not yelling just to get it seen better lol)
HERE'S THE THING ALSO I AM GOING TO HAVE TO PAY FOR MAINTENANCE AND USING SUPER GAS EVERY TIME WITHT THE TERRIBLE GAS IS NOT FOR ME AT THE TIME. don't get me wrong i would love the srt8 but i'm not rich im 17 with two jobs and i don't want to be paying for gas as much because i do aimlessly drive since i'm young. i think the srt will be mine years later but for now possibly the 5.7l because of the gas difference and maintenance. I would do anything for the srt but i feel by looking at all you guys that made it possible for the limiteds to look as good as the srt i will do that and besides IT'S MORE FUN BUILDING UP THE CAR AND MAKING IT HOW YOU WANT! but on a side note.I HATE THE WOOD DASH-KIT IN THE LIMITEDS...I AM GOING TO HAVE TO GET A CARBON FIBER ONE AND I ALSO WOULD PREFER GRAY INTERIOR BUT THEY ONLY HAVE BLACK AND WHITE CAUSE THEY ARE TWO TONE ON THE LIMITEDS.
THANKS!!!!!!!REPLY BACK!

Re: srt8 vs 5.7l limited hemi

Re: srt8 vs 5.7l limited hemi

haha, if you're 17 you dont need the SRT8, thats just too much truck. and think about the insurance cost as well, compared to the 5.7l

Re: srt8 vs 5.7l limited hemi

yea that's pretty much the big thing i mean i told everyone i was going to be getting it and hyped it up but i guess i can just make the limited look just like it! i am going to leave stock wheels on until march and get the factoryreproduction 22 inch srt wheels! i am going to also get tints, led tails, magnaflow exhaust, a chip and window flaps, etc.

ALSO ONE THING I WAS DEBATING WAS IF I SHOULD GET THE NORMAL V8 IF I COULD FIND IT OR THE V6 (WHICH I DROVE TONIGHT AND HAD GOOD POWER) BUT I WANT A V8 AND THEY DON'T DO MUCH DIFFERENT ON GAS MY COUSIN GETS 12.9 WITH HER V6 09 LIMITED SO THE 5.7L WOULD DO WHAT?
THANKS AGAIN YOU GUYS ARE A GREAT HELP! I AM DECIDING THIS BY THIS WEEKEND MOST LIKELY.

the srt8 is a plastic mesh grille. i cut out the inserts on my 07 wk 5.7L and put my own black gloss mesh in there. parked next to an srt8 yesterday, my grille looks better
