Steering Wheel Sound?

I recently had my heater core replaced. I was told it requires the entire dash to be removed so I am assuming that the steering wheel was also removed. I now notice a bit of play in the steering wheel (left to right) and can also hear a rattle/clunking sound when going over a bumpy rd, ie. gravel road. What could this be. I would like to have some suggestions in mind when I take it back.

Thanks

Nah, this just happened after the heatercore change. I do have a bad front bushing that I am dealing with, but this sound is for sure coming from the steering wheel and the plastic that surrounds the steering wheel column. The steering wheel will turn about 1/4-1/2 inch before engaging the actually steering shaft.

Thanks

Could be the power steering rack, by what you have described.
