Stock 5.7L Exhaust Muffler on a 3.7L?

Was wondering if a stock 5.7L muffler will work on a 3.7L? I figure a lot of you hemi guys have done exhaust upgrades and I could get a low mileage stock 5.7L take-off pretty cheap. Anyone see any disadvantages to this or if it wouldn't make a squat of difference compared to the 3.7L exhaust?

probably the same suitcase sized muffler on all models. The one that was on my 4.7 was HUGE!

i think they are all the same. you're better off going any aftermarket brand and save like a million lbs and get less restriction. less weight = more hp! get rid of the spare tire while your at it!

yeah don't even bother, the 5.7 muffler is huge, heavy and quiet.

Re: Stock 5.7L Exhaust Muffler on a 3.7L?

I don't mind quiet, was just thinking the 5.7L muffler might allow for more flow and easier breathing than the 3.7L muffler. But I guess I will think of other things to mess with.

On to looking into getting the Volant SRT8 CAI to work with the 3.7L! Thinking all I need to do is change the ducting and I'm golden.
