As long as all your tires are the same diameter, it shouldn't matter at all. I still think its a TCM programming or control solenoid problem....leaning more toward the solenoids. Did the mechanic check for any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)? With this problem there would amost certainly be a DTC. Have you (since they serviced it) checked the transmission fluid level when hot?
I had some real nasty problems with mine the codes 3-4 shift solenoid electrical, intermittent and stuck on would come these are 3 codes btw lol and then also the generic p0700 and sometimes p0712 electric circuit malfunction
I replaced all 3 shift solenoids, the circuit board that has the temp sensor, the PCM and the problem was still there but the $5 cure took it all away
I was frustrated like none other here check out my thread if that helps
