Suspension Problem?

Alright, so I've got an 05 WK with 60k miles on it and am having a slight problem/annoyance. Anyways, anytime I go over a bump on the road and get a bounce, i keep bouncing as if the suspension keeps going up and down. Any idea what it is? I know the springs haven't been touched since she was born. What would the fix be, and how much would it cost? Thanks for your help.

the Wk suspensions are crap the easiest fix would be to switch out your shocks and struts ... it's what every WK owner does essentially ...

check this thread out for more details on what to use but i would go with the bilsteins for the WK can find them around $300 from shockswarehouse and tirerack

when changing out the struts don't forget to change out the strut mounts also and you can find those for about $20 each online

Dumb question, but how can I inspect for a blown shock? Say I wanted to get a lift kit, could you guys just recommend me a kit that has new shocks and struts with maybe a 1.5 or 2-2.5" Lift? I am really wanting that and some MTR's right now.

there are several ways to inspect a blown shock

if the ride bounces more up and down a lot while driving and going over some bumps

or if the ride feels real hard as if none of the ground impact was absorbed

or if you hear squeaking up front when going over bumps

raise the ride a little and check around the shocks and struts for leakage

in general the WK stock shocks are only good 50K mile warranty and after that they're garbage so it's always good to replace them around the mileage you have ... as for the lift ideas not sure since I have no experience on that side but there are a lot of members on here with lift kits ... hopefully they'll chime in or you can search the official lifted thread on here
