so i love the look my bwoody springs gave my jeep.....the ride isnt that bad, but i live in montana and i know its gonna be a rough ride during winter with icy ruts in the road......so i think im gonna switch it up, my main concern is to just get the jeep level, i was leaning toward srt eibachs but i think that it will not be a much smoother ride than the woodys....any suggestions

I think that drop looks great. I have the SRT Eibachs, and it does appear to be very level from front to back. What I didnt do was upgrade the shocks, and so far I have blown and replaced the front right strut with a stock WK strut, blown my front left strut, and I believe my rear left shock is blown also. The rears im not concerned about since the travel between the bump stops in so small, but in the front when I go over bumps on the highway it feels like a boat going up and down on the left side. But again, looking at your picture your Jeep appears level to me and looking really good.

Your WK looks great, the only thing I would do is remove the roof racks. I luv your rims, and the drop on it looks perfect IMO.
yeah but its just not practical for winter.....especially since i have a baby on the way, i would hate to give my newborn shaken baby syndrome

i will be running stock rims/tires in the winter

I would change back to my stock rims and tires, if the stock tires didnt suck so much. I would have to invest in a good set of snow tires if i wanted to put my stock rims on again. But I had such great results with these GoodYear Fortera's during the winter and snow i'll be leaving them on come this coming winter again.

That's the problem with modding; the trade offs are not worth it as far as ride comfort and utility. The SRT handles a lot better than non-srt, but the ride comfort is very poor in comparison when the road is not smooth. The WK is not a sports car, never will be and never was meant to be one, so why lower it, make the ride harsh, generate a lot more rattles, and make it nearly useless off road when that is what it is best at and what it is designed for ? IF you want sports car handling, a sports car will do that , not a big, heavy 4WD SUV.

thats totally your opinion and not even what he's talking about. he means in the snow and ice covered Montana roads in the winter. Plus he has the Bwoody extreme drop springs...not the stock SRt suspension. Any vehicle experiences what he is talking about in the winter. I have personally had the stock WK suspension and the stock SRT suspension on my WK and the stock SRT suspension was a lot more comfortable and ride quality was 10x better. The WK stock suspenion is so crappy, bouncy and sway is horrible. You dont realize how bad it is till you do a little work on it. Thats why most here have went with the SRT sways and Bilsteins struts/shocks. The ride is so much more comfortable and contriolled.
But JRSmoothie is guessing it will be amplified even more by the extreme drop springs he has chosen. Its not gonna be as bad as he thinks with his stock wheels back on. Most of what he is predicting would be a combination of the wheels/tires and the suspension. I have been through two winter with my Bwoodys and never had a problem...but he livesin Montana where thye get significantly more snow than southern KY.
