Switching steering wheels

Can you put a SRT8 steering wheel in a non SRT8 model? I have an 05 Limited and wanted to change it out to an SRT8 one.

Re: Switching steering wheels

all you need is the SRT wheel and either an SRT airbag or black commander airbag...this is 06-07. Its pluga nd play Not sure about the newer models(08-10)....never really looked into those.

Re: Switching steering wheels

I know for sure the cruise control isn't the same. The older ones had the cruise on the steering wheel as a button. The newer ones have the cruise as a seperate stalk on the right side of the steering wheel.

Re: Switching steering wheels

It's light greystone in color...and the leather is coming off it which is why I want to change it out. If you're interested still let me know.

Re: Switching steering wheels

I had the same issue. I put a nice leather cover on it because the stock wheel is so small in diameter. I had a 2009 Dodge Ram for a rental and i love the thicker steering wheel. The did the same thing in the new Wk2 as well. Its so much more comfortable. The cover simulates the larger diameter wheel.

Re: Switching steering wheels

Will a 2007 Commander steering wheel work in a 2005 Grand Cherokee?
