Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

Yea its pretty slick. When I first talked to Dave he said they were lookin at putting the whole package up for sale, and/or you could have them do whatever parts you wanted. Not sure what happened.

Yours is clean though man. Was lookin at an old thread about it last night. I think if I got to pick and choose (I know I'll probably be banned for this on principle lol), I'd probably would have had them leave off the roof rack. It looks cool, but I don't really have a use for it...I like the clean roof on yours. (I ain't tradin though...) lol

I'll gladly take that roof rack off your hands!

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

It is so tastefully done! AEV shoulda def made that hidden winch for consumers...I know a couple guys on here that would kill for one of those. How often do you get to take it out? And seriously some of your pics you posted (IMHO esp the one of the WK in the river) are JOTM worthy...make sure you submit a photo!

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

So if this is the original, What is yours milkskillz? A clone? I know youve got the AEV wheels vs the stock ones but i did not see if you had any armor like the real mojave or any of the other features or if its just a decal.

Mine is the package that AEV offered after the original was built.

Unfortunately they did not develop all the parts made for the original including: the roof rack, the sliders, the hidden winch mount.

I am running the same suspension system - the AEV/Superlift 4" system w/ the AEV EGR module.

The only thing that really make's it a Mojave is that it was all built by AEV.

When they built the original they only had to weeks to design and install the suspension so the reason it is running the jeep wheels is because they didn't have enough time to make the pintlers before the 04 SEMA show.

I have added the 4x Guard sliders and a Yakima roof Rack - I';d kill for 1 of those selway racks off the original.

I'd also love to have the hidden winch mount but that doesn't look like it will ever happen.

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

I just realized it came with 305/70's! i thought that tire was to wide for the stock 17x7.5'' wheels!

Mojave, do you still have the 34's?

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

I had 315/75/16s on the stock 16 by 8 rubicon moabs on my Xj i doubt the 7.5" wide wheel would be that much of an issues. people put 33x12/50s on 15x7" wheels all the time.

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

Hey Acid, sorry, not sure I got your question... 34s? I had the original tires replaced not too long ago, with the later models of the same line, same spec.

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

285/75 = 33" tire

305/75 = 34" tire

315/75 = 35" tire

I think he was asking if yous till have the original size tires on it or not.

Re: THE AEV Mojave Edition WK

I see, thanks for the chart. Yea so they bought the truck new, and put on 34s while it was still on the lift having all the mods done. When it got to me, it still had those same 4 tires, all chunked up from demos.

Just a month ago it was time for new ones. Managed to get 37k miles outa those. These new ones though, man, so quiet, more complex tread designed to retain all the off-road capability and with Kevlar sidewalls, which combined give better performance on asphalt (also puncture resistant, same as a BP vest, but not as thick).
