I saw what I thought was an SRT8 yesterday at a light. I was proven wrong when the light turned green and he took off! It sounded like he had a lawn mower under the hood. The think sounded awful! All six of those squirrels were screaming for help. I am not kidding! He must have had some kind of ricer exhaust on there.

Yeah a few pages back we hit old political stickers and stick figure families. But they are definitely worth another laugh.

Re: THE *least socially acceptable* thing you can do to your Jeep?

FYI, since the rat rod pics have surfaced. I remember seeing pics of a prototype Plymouth Prowler, utilizing a YJ tub.

How about non-lifted Jeeps with winches? Alright, I get it. You have $1000 to blow on a winch that you will never use. In reality, it unnecessarily weighs down the front, taking away half of the stock suspension travel plus blocking almost half of their small grill opening, suffocating the already small engine bay. Yes, it's a life saving last resort, but have they even used a winch before? It terrible! I spent a rainy weekend at the Las Cruces, NM Chili Challenge a few years ago. Nothing but winching up the difficult trails one day. Didn't even participate the next day. The wait and work of spooling/unspooling and being paranoid of the cable snapping in your face... not fun. I'm OUT

Re: THE *least socially acceptable* thing you can do to your Jeep?

Saw something else today I have to add.

Roof mounted cargo containers! I'm talking full on mini-Airstream locking trunks strapped to the roof rack. You better be going cross country if it's on there. I've seen this guy a few times around town now and he keeps it on there. Doesn't even match, it's brown/tan, the Jeep is midnight blue.

Also, hitch-mounted cargo containers, but I always assume they're temporary anyway.

Less is more!

I can go on a rant, stick on vents/scoops, whats the purpose of theyre not functional. Ski/Snowboard racks in the summer. Bicycle racks in hitch with no bike. JDM stickers on a JEEP. vinyl pinstriping. rims bigger than 22" drive me nuts. fake crome/magnetic chrome. those are some which make it look cheap and crappy.

It is a PITA & definitely a theft deterrent. I take mine off because it's closure for the season & they are bug magnets. Plus I'm not too big on the sunfaded black look.
