Thrush Welded Exhaust (Vid)

From my post on JU.

Notes - This is on my 3.7L WK. Engine and exhaust are 100% stock except for the muffler.

Bought the muffler from a friend for $25 a while ago. Overslept today and decided to just take the whole day off from school to work on the Jeep (priorities are obviously in good order haha).

Called Meineke. First place said $75 for the job. Second place said they wanted to take a look first and I didn't want to drive out there just to get the same price. Third place estimated $35. Got there and they said probably more like $50 b/c the Thrush was so much smaller than the stock muffler.

I have always found it useful to throw in some car talk before paying. I asked the guy about the legality of my tail lights, his opinion on the best CAI for the money and listened to some stuff about his honda. He ended up only asking for $30 if I didn't mind not having a receipt. Successful day :thup2:

I'll be keeping an eye on the MPG for any improvements.

The chain was used to tow a friend up a frozen driveway for lack of better equipment. Hook sank into the link and I wasn't able to get it off for a while. Going to be buying tow cables before I go pulling anyone else out

Did my first highway drive since installing the muffler and it was surprisingly quiet. Still nice and loud but it didn't drone to the point of annoyance. Pretty much as loud as my parents are willing to deal with as it is.
