Re: tire question

Who is the manufacturer of the tires?

If they are the BFG Mud-Terrains 255/75/17 they will not fit without a lift as they are 32.05 tall, They will rub and will not clear the upper ball joint even with the bolt trimmed. I'd have to say NO! With a lift and a different than stock offset rim your good to go.

The max that will fit without a lift or different offset rims is the BFG T/A KO 265/65/17. They are 10.7 wide on an 8" rim and 30.7 inches tall with a tread depth of 15. You will have to trim the upper ball joint bolt in order to fit them though.

Re: tire question

Actually the BFG MT's from the Rubicon do fit with only slight rubbing of the inner fenderwell at full lock, and do not touch the ball joint at all. But being as that they are from an X model wrangler, they should be Wrangler SR-A's or some other street styled terrain tire. And those won't even rub on the fender liner. The problem is the rims, they will rub on the caliper face if you don't grind about an eigth of an inch off of the caliper.
