Tire Rotation??

What's up everybody,
I live in New England and snow will soon be upon us here. I have 20" SRT Black Reps on right now and am going to switch back to my stock wheels for the winter. These are my first set of aftermarket wheels and so I've never had to worry about rotation other than the normal scheduled ones. My question is, does it matter that I didn't make note of where I took each stock tire off for rotation purposes? In other words, when I take my reps off can I just bolt on my stock wheels and not worry about their rotation placement? I don't mean to sound like a dumbs, I just want to make sure I don't run into any issues. Thanks!!!

Re: Tire Rotation??

You should be just fine throwing the stock rims back on. I never use to mark them on previous vehicles. Depending on the vehicle I would just put which ever had the better tread at the time on the drive end (FWD/RWD).

The only time you have to be careful is when you go back to your aftermarket wheels, only if they are staggered. Meaning the fronts are 20X9 and the backs 20x10. If that is the case then make sure that you put the right ones across from each other.

If you through either set on and it just doesn't drive well and you can feel some vibration in the well then i would just go pay the 15 dollars at discount or belle tire and just get them rotated and balanced. In my opinion and previous experience you will be just fine. SOmeone may come on here and dispute that comment, but this is just my 2 cents.

Re: Tire Rotation??

If the treadwear is even across all four, it won't matter. Tire shops advise putting the tires with the most wear on the rear, if there is an out of cycle rotation needed.
