I'd stick with 265.

Re: Tires?

I'm in Augusta right now. How far away are you?

Edit: Never mind. I found out. There are a lot of lifted WK's over there. There are none over here.

Re: Tires?

go with the 265, you will never get a 285 to fit wear your spare is located. As it turns out, I bought a well used 265 and it fit with no trimming of bolts or hitch.

Re: Tires?

I've had the Nitto Terra's and the BFG A/T's. If I had to pick one for all around best tire, it would be the BFG. Goodyears have always seemed to wear quickly compared to BFG too. At least in my experience.

Nittos were a very close 2nd to the BFG's. They just wore a little faster.

Re: Tires?

I am getting ready to lower my jeep and do an SRT8 conversion. I have a set of 265/70/17 GY Duratrac's on Moab Rims I wll sale the entire package for $1200 if you are interested. The tires only have 2500 miles on them. No wheeling trips at all. That is why I am selling them. I just don't have time to hit the trails. I would rather try the SRT style for a little while.

Let me know. Oh, and I have an extra Moab that I will throw in if you want it. I bought it for a spare and never bought a tire for it.

The tires and rims are in my sig.

Re: Tires?

I will give a big X2 on the GY Duratracs. They are not a mud tire but considered a very aggressive AT tire and are supposed to be much quieter/comfortable then you think.
