Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

I am also looking at these.

Also the pirelli scorpion atr, but i am cautious of them because i had a set of pirelli scorpion ats and they were great but wore down very fast.

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

I stopped in today to my local tire shop and asked about the 245/65/17 sport kings...and he told me that they do not make them in that size....

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

That sucks.

Well i think i am going to get either the dueller revo tires i listed or the graber at2 tires. I really dont want the rugged look of the BFG at side wall on this jeep, just the tread. I am gonna steer clear of the dueller RHs too as it had really bad reviews. I am prolly going to get the at revo though. The hancook tire does not come in a 245/65/17.

Dueller at revo review.

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

Those look like decent choices....I'm gonna be in the same boat as you pretty soon, as I am in need of new tires but ended up just getting a set of winter tires to get me through the crap snow driving...and to give me a longer time to decide what I want to do for summer treads!!

Good Luck!!

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

I have heard great things about both tires, I just know that i am gonna pay a bit more for the Bridgestone dueller at revo then the general grabber at 2.

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

I know this is way late... but I went with a winter/summer set up. For winter, snow and ice, I went with the stock rims and Cooper Discoverer M+S. (I went 255/55-18) They are "snowflake" rated and great in the snow. Just an FYI. And you can get them with the white letter white wall.

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

michelin ltx m&s v2.
70K miles warranty
great in the snow
come white letter , i prefer blk.
very quiet yet work very well
I am just about done my second set of the v1 on my XJ.
been shopping around.
best i can find is discounttireonline on ebay, about 1 a month they take 5% off plus if you use bing thats another 8% cashback.
like for the xj they post them on ebay for like 672 for 4 with the 5% then the 8% I was ablee to get it to 147 each delivered to my door.

I have had these saved on my favorites list. I love michelin tires and i know the LTX m/s has a great reputation and the V2 is supposed to be even better. I am hoping to get a set before end of summer.

I pretty much ruled out any specific AT tire because i put about 20 to 25k miles on my jeep a year and with my family well on its way i want a long lasting, safe, comfortable tire that i can use yea round. I think the Michelin LTX MS v2 will be that tire.

The LTX M/S is not available yet in a 245/65/17 so this is the 245/70/17 that will fit just fine and is a tiny tiny bit larger then stock.

Re: Tires, Rubbers, Meats, etc

this was the best place I that I could find to buy tires from... As far as price went the were one of the best. Site lacks when trying to compare tires, but if you know what you want then it works out.
