TPMS Sensors

Just a word of caution for everyone here...I had a nice set of chrome valve caps on my wheels. I had to put air in one of the tires due to the colder weather, and when I went to get it off, it was seized onto the sensor..I ended up breaking the sensor..........So if you are going to use nice caps, put some anti-seize compund on the threads first...

Re: TPMS Sensors

if you guys MUST have metal caps, use some antisieze on the threads. get some at any auto parts. use sparingly.

thats why I stick to my Schwinn Crossed Flag plastic caps FTMFW!

Re: TPMS Sensors

I didnt know, but the ones I had were a brass core....And because of the 2 different kinds of metals, they are more likely to seize..SO definitely use anti-seize...Same reason you should use anti-seize on the spark plugs too

Re: TPMS Sensors

I heard never to put any kind of lubricant/anti-seize on lug nuts because you cant get a proper torque reading and therefore wont be properly fastened..Is that an old wives tale?
