Question TPMS - using different brands???

I need to buy only one tpms sensor for one of my tires, and I'm wondering if anyone knows if a non-oem sensor will work with the 3 oem sensors in the other tires?? The non-oem sensors (Dorman) apparently fit the 05 jgc and are like HALF the price of oem...

So does anyone know if you mix and match them will the tpms still work?

Thanks!

Re: TPMS - using different brands???

its all about the frequency. an aftermarket should be fine so long as it uses the OEM Jeep frequency/

Re: TPMS - using different brands???

Once saw mentioned there was different one if you had the steel wheel ( like the spare on the Commander ), due to a difference in the rim angle. Anyone confirm that?
