traction control??

today for the first time i tried to switch off the traction control on my jeep to see how it'll behave but when i pressed the button nothing happened the TC light stayed off .... i dont know??? does this mean its not working at all or its working but i cant turn it off??? any ideas or solutions will be appreciated.

If its off the car with skid marks will appear in orange. If you press and hold it off ESP OFF will show up on the EVIC screen.

Sadly... traction control isnt really ever off till you pull the ABS fuse under the hood.

put you gear shift int 'N' then hold your traction control button for about 10 seconds. your evic should say 'esp off' and the car with the yellow skiddies should illuminate on your dash

thanx guys but ive tried that also & it didnt work & the yellow car with skiddies didn't come on , i dont know why its not working ? is there some electrical or a computer problem ??
