Transfer case/diff problem

I posted this in the troubleshooting section with no luck, so I figured there would be more traffic here...

Whats up guys? I need some help. Last week I replaced front struts and brakes all around. Car feels good and no problems. Two days ago I towed another car of mine about 200 miles round trip. Nothing over weight by any means. I unpack everything when I get home, put both cars away and thats that. I went to go to work yesterday and the Jeep is acting funny. Whenever I turn the wheel in either direction, the car jerks and feels as if something is binding or the diff has locked up. I knew my CV boot had a rip in it for some time and thought it finally started to go, so I went outside and replaced it this morning thinking that was the problem. Take the truck back out for a test drive and it does the exact same thing. I pull it back in the garage, jack the entire car off the ground, put it in drive and watch the wheels spin and can see nothing binding or rubbing any way I turn the wheel. Then, I slightly hit the brakes…and this happens. It does not make any noise if the wheels spin freely. I had the 60K service done at the dealer around 8K miles ago.

Have a 2005 Grand Cherokee 5.7 Limited. Had the same problem. Diff packs had no fluid in them. Had the diff rebuilt. Driveshaft was also rebuilt removing the boot. Now have universal joints that can be replaced when necessary.
