transmission pan gasket

Could someone tell me if I should use the trans. Pan gasket that came with the filter of use red rtv select or both ,thaNks in advance.

I had one other question and that was does Lucas oil make a rear differential oil that would work in a 06 wk 4.7l?

Re: transmission pan gasket

No gaskets required. Use black or grey RTV as they are he most oil resistant. I heard from a permatex rep that the red is the worst of the rtv's they offer. As for the Lucas gear oil I believe they make some, but I would just run a synthetic of your choice back there and add friction modifier if you have QDII.
