I don't know if this is normal or if something is wrong, but my 09 jeep seems to downshift too early, especially accelerating from a slow speed, it will suddenly downshift and lug the engine until i give it more gas. Is this normal? I have the 3.7 V6 with 6k miles Btw..

I don't know the extent of yours, but mine *seems* to have a similar behavior and figured it was normal programming with these things. I would imagine the V6 would be even worse from lack of torque (apples at same rpm/load), but havent driven one.

Do they have throttle cable or DBW (drive by wire)? If the cable, is there an adjustment for the transmission (kickdown cable), or is it all electronic, too?

The older jeeps have the throttle cable but mine has the electronic throttle, aside from the possible downshift issue at low speed, i have no other problems.
