Good to know, robpp. That's one less thing to worry about on the WK.

Re: Truck won't shift out of Park at all.......

Geeze, this is some scary shit! I guess we just have to hope we're lucky and it doesn't happen to the rest of us? No warning or anything just bang! Major trans crapout!

Does it happen to the trans with the 3.7 more often than the 4.7 or Hemi?

Re: Truck won't shift out of Park at all.......

Mine is to the tune of about $2600 right now...debating on ditching it once it's fixed. I'm sick and tired of pouring money into this thing and I haven't even had it a year. Yes before anyone lectures me I know I bought it used but at 48K miles I don't believe any car should have the problems this one has had.

iJeep is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Truck won't shift out of Park at all.......

Never take to a dealer if you don't have warranty left. I also wouldn't rebuild any part, you can get any replacement parts at car-parts.com, they even give you mileage info on all parts. M2C

Well replacement parts also have NO warranty on them. At least this way it's covered under warranty now and they also gave me my Chrysler discount on parts and labor.

I'm still surprised that these break down so often...unless the previous owner to me "motorheaded" the heck out of it.
