Below is a picture of the oil fill tube on the 06, where the pcv is not located.

Still looking for a confirmation on this...

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

Warning with the PCV, be very careful removing it. Try and do it while the engine is warm and twist it out gently, it can break off the tube that it plugs in to.

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

On the 06 4.7 the thing in the back with the blue collar is the pcv. When you buy a new one it has a blue collar. It's not the easiest to get to.

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

does anyone know about the pcv valve on the 06 5.7? The manual says that it needs replaced at 30,000 miles, but napa, advance, and autozone all say they don't have one for the hemi!! Any confirmation on this or are my local stores just full of s***

Thanks guys!

Re: Tune-up question on a WK?

Wow, awesome thread... thanks guys for all the input thus far.

I just hit 60,000 (well 65,000) and with the help from this thread and wkjeeps I plan to do (remember, I'm 2wd):

- Transmission (fluid = MoparŪ ATF +4, type 9602 /filter = p/n 5015267AC, p/n 4799662)
- Spark plugs [Mopar p/n SPRE14MCC4 (Champion 570) (0.045 gap, 16 plugs, tighten to 13 ft. lbs.*)]
- Axles (MoparŪ SAE 75W-140 Synthetic)
- PCV valve (53032531AE)
- Serpentine drive belt (p/n 53013676AC )
- Lubricate brake caliper pins
- Cabin filter
- Power steering fluid (check)
- Inspect ignition cables (replace if necessary)

My oil/filter is on its own schedule (just changed it actually) and I am replacing my brake pads soon.

Questions:

Is there anything than I am missing?

Anything that seems unnecessary?

I hate other people working on my Jeep, is there any of this that I can do myself (aside from the cabin filter and PCV valve)?
